Will it work for me? YES! MAG panels are custom built for you. This means that they can fit any shape or style of window.

Why Acrylic instead of glass? Acrylic has much better insulation properties than glass. In fact, Magnetite’s acrylic panels only let through 1/6 the heat of glass. Acrylic is stronger and safer than glass and it blocks out the suns harmful UV rays.

Can I still use my window? YES! MAG panels are fully operational and easy to use. It is as easy as opening your fridge door. Magnetite uses magnets, similar to those used in a fridge door, to hold them closed.

What is R-Value? R value is a measure of thermal resistance for material and assemblies of materials (such as insulation panels, floors, and walls) in the building and construction industry. It gives an indication of how quickly they will lose heat (their thermal resistance). The higher the value of R, the better the thermal performance and heat retention of the material or assembly, and the slower any heat loss. An R value in its outside walls of R 20 and ceiling of R 35.

The average installed window is rated at R-1.  Magnetite can make an average window system into an R-5.  Upgrading to an R-5 window will reduce heat loss by 40%.

Are MAG panels safe to be used? YES! Acrylic is 17 times stronger than glass and it will not shatter. Magnetite acrylic panels have a UV inhibitor built into them. This will stop the harmful UV rays from fading curtains or furniture and keep you safe.

What is its life expectancy? The magnet has a 99-year life expectancy. With over 90% iron oxide it is able to with stand bangs and extreme temperature. In short, the magnet will last for the life of your home

What does it look like after installation? MAG windows are unobtrusive. MAG slim line framing and color range means that it blends into your existing window. Aside from the savings and comfort you will not even notice MAG window panels are installed. Because the look of your existing window in maintained, MAG panels are approved by most body corporate and strata developments.  To see how they look, check out our photos!

How do I use my window? Each MAG panel is completely removable because they are attached using magnets. We provide you with handles or suction cups, so you grip these and pull gently to break the seal and then lift the acrylic panel completely off the window.

What is the case if I have a patio door? MAG works with windows as well as larger glass panels such as sliding glass doors. The Magnetite panels magnetically attach to the parameter of your sliding glass door.

Warranty? MAG system comes with a limited 1 year warranty on all system. They are guaranteed to be free of manufacture defects or workmanship.  The Acrylic comes with a 10 year warranty not to change color (not to fade or yellow) and not to break or bruse.

1 year parts and labour warranty on material and workmanship

MAG MTL is proud to extend a 10 year warranty on all custom-made products. all custom-made products are warrantied to be free from manufacturing defects in materials, (acrylic panels, banding and holding bar which make up the magnetite window system.

In the event a window is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, we will, at our discretion, repair, or replace the product which fails to conform to this warranty. On discontinued items, we reserve the right to substitute warranted product with the nearest color or style of equivalent or greater value. On current products, we will make every effort to match current style and color. In the event that warranted product is not repairable, and cannot be replaced with the original style and color (i.e. discontinued), it will be replaced free of charge with the closest available product.

The warranty is valid for all MAG MTL Projets Inc. manufactured products. To obtain warranty service, the purchaser must return damaged windows along with invoice and original sales receipt, to the office address.

This warranty does not cover any product which fails due to accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, misapplication, improper handling, improper installation, and improper operation or cleaning. It excludes damage from animals or insects, normal wear and tear (common cosmetic issues related to extended use, including fraying or damage from salt air.

This warranty does not cover cost associated with warranty service which includes, but is not limited to, transportation costs to and from our showroom, costs of removal, re-measure or reinstallation of product, or any incidental or consequential damages.

Liability:  If the customer has window coverings such as blinds, drapes, shutters or any other window covering that has to be removed, it is the responsibility of the customer to remove the existing window covering(s).  MAG MTL will remove such coverings if requested at an additional fee.  MAG MTL will not be held liable for any damage incurred to existing window coverings as a result of removal or reinstallation by either the customer or MAG MTL.
